During the Holidays, pet stores and super markets are full of doggy treats. However, your furry friend just might not appreciate them. But gingerbread baked by you? We guarantee your four-pawed pal will love those!
With this recipe, baking will be a breeze:
7 deciliters of wheat (full grain)
1/2 teaspoon of ginger (powdered or freshly grated)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 deciliter of coconut oil
1 deciliters of molasses
2 deciliters of water
You’ll also need a pin and small gingerbread molds.
Mix the dry substances together and add water until the dough is firm. Knead the dough until it’s smooth and wrap it on plastic. Place the dough in the fridge for 15 minutes to cool down.
Roll the dough until it’s about 1 cm thick and use the molds to create gingerbread shapes. If you’re planning on decorating the tree with them, remember to add the holes for the ribbons at this point. Place the gingerbread on a plate.
Bake in 165 Celsius for approx. 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown. Let them cool down for a moment before enjoying them with your best friend.
